Once Upon a Midnight Dreary...

Send me to a mall and I will be home in an hour ... Put me in an antique store or the attic of an old house and I will see you next week! I could plunder through old boxes of photos and run my hand across old baby cribs for days on end! I piece together the stories of the people in the pictures and wish the old scrub board and sewing machine could talk.

The Raven, by Edgar Allan Poe, was first published in 1845. The time period and the poem itself conjure all sorts of dark and fascinating images. A few of this weeks challenges inspired me to dig out some old papers and use some black and white images that I had almost forgotten I even had.
